The Holiday Inn Express Leicester City (our sister hotel) has partnered with the Leicester Hospitals Charity with the aim of raising £10,000 this year to help towards rebuilding a new spiritual care centre. The Leicester Royal Infirmary is under increasing pressure to meet the needs of patients, carers & staff who need spiritual support. By creating new spaces to help the Chaplaincy team deliver their compassionate service they hope to restore faith for anyone facing difficulties at the hospital & to provide a spiritual haven to support well-being. The plans for the new space at the Leicester Royal Infirmary are incredible and will benefit the whole community, welcoming anyone who needs time away from the wards to reflect, pray or for spiritual well-being. We will be kick-starting the fundraising on the 1st July with 6 daredevils from the hotel joining in The BIG Abseil down 6 storeys (100ft) from the top of the Leicester Royal Infirmary. We’re really looking forward to this and to hosting more events to fundraise for this very worthwhile cause throughout the year.”
